Cost Of Doing Business? Jack

Founder of Twitter and Square Jack Dorsey hasn’t posted any new photos on Instagram since the Facebook deal. He was an early investor of Instagram and used the photo-sharing app almost daily — a big reason for Instagram’s success.

Twitter allegedly wanted to buy Instagram months before. If that is true, not only did Instagram reject Twitter’s offer, they went ahead and sold to Facebook — Twitter’s big rival. So it makes perfect sense for Jack to stop using the service. Why help a rival?

Instagram shouldn’t feel that bad though for losing such a prominent user — they did get $1B richer. Jack also shouldn’t feel that bad. Yes, he couldn’t buy Instagram — but he also got a lot richer. By his rival.
