Great, Now I Have To Get The New Nook
Couple of months ago I got the Nook Simple Touch by Barnes & Noble — I had the 1st gen model before for little more than a year. For some reason buying an e-reader has increased my book reading from a frequency I’m too ashamed to share, to a frequency I believe is quite respectable (still not worth sharing though). Nook is definitely one of my best purchases.
Today I hear the new Nook is coming out soon and this one has backlight or GlowLight— the one thing I wish my current Nook had. I can’t really blame Barnes & Noble or other electronic companies like Apple for releasing a newer and improved model every year. But c’mon — give me some time to appreciate my current device damnit, before I start hating it for not being good enough anymore. Or let me upgrade for a reasonable price instead of paying full.
These won’t happen of course, companies want you to buy the newer model. Apparently it’s all about making money to them. Barnes & Noble — you got me this time. But know I won’t buy another Nook for 5 years. Unless the next one is color — then you will get me again. Man I am weak.
